“As the retired District Attorney of Santa Clara County who served four terms from 1990 through 2006, I have deep feelings about the ethics, integrity and non-partisan nature of the District Attorney’s Office. Over the last three years, the elected head of that office has been inappropriate in her personal direction with those values. Fortunately, Santa Clara County voters have a chance to choose a District Attorney with the ethical values and experience they deserve.
I have known Deputy District Attorney Jeff Rosen for more than fifteen years. He is the only candidate who has personally and successfully prosecuted dozens of the most dangerous criminals, including murderers, sexual predators, and gang members. The incumbent has not. Jeff Rosen became a professional prosecutor for the best reasons. He has the highest standards for ethics and integrity. He is one of the office’s very top prosecutors, and he is a leader with deserved respect.
Jeff Rosen is the extraordinary person qualified to restore integrity and return the office’s primary focus to justice. I strongly endorse him to be the next District Attorney of Santa Clara County.”
